About Epworth Geelong
Caring for people within Greater Geelong and South West Victoria
Epworth Geelong is a not-for-profit, private hospital, combining more than 95 years of Epworth HealthCare’s experience and commitment to excellence with an expert team of local staff and doctors, who all share a common goal—to provide an outstanding healthcare facility of choice for Greater Geelong and South West Victoria.
We embrace the latest in evidence-based medicine and clinical intervention to pioneer treatments and services for our patients.
Providing quality patient care – linking clinical practice with education and research
By investing in education and researching the best processes, treatments and diagnoses, a hospital can deliver better outcomes to patients.
This is why Epworth Geelong and Deakin University are working in partnership to provide education programs for medical, nursing, allied health and medical imaging students and staff.
Combining Epworth’s renowned high-quality health services with Deakin University’s training and research will not only ensure students and staff have access to the latest knowledge and career development opportunities, it also ensures patients have access to medical professionals who have the best understanding of how to provide their care.
Public patient access to Epworth Geelong
In a formal partnership with Barwon Health University Hospital Geelong, we are working together to provide an extra 7,000 treatments per year for public patients in the region.

An abundance of natural light
Natural daylight flows throughout the hospital. Most of Epworth Geelong’s 11 operating rooms face south, with large external windows allowing natural light to flow into each theatre.
Ultimate privacy thanks to clever hospital design
Dedicated patient lifts – separate from the public lifts – mean faster staff movements and privacy for patient movement within the hospital.

Procedural areas are located right next door to the intensive care unit. Day oncology and inpatient oncology services are thoughtfully placed side-by-side. See our services.
Forward thinking accommodates future expansion
Epworth Geelong is located next to a large area of open landscape, allowing for future expansion without impacting the existing hospital design, layout or operation.
